CONVENTION 2024: ALBUQUERQUE
What a great 2023 convention we had in Atlanta, GA, which we dedicated to the late civil rights activist John Lewis and his advocacy call for good trouble. For 2024, we journey to scenic and historic Albuquerque, New Mexico with its rich multicultural history to create a legacy of an anti-racist world that fully embraces diversity. Our convention will take place from July 2-6 at the Hotel Andaluz in downtown Albuquerque. We have planned many exciting events that will allow you to reconnect with others for fellowship and renewed friendships, and to recharge your commitment to anti-racist activism. You’ll find many events and activities to enjoy, including:
-
Talks by national LGBTQ activists Walter Naegle, partner of the late Bayard Rustin, and Mandy Carter, longtime Black lesbian activist, on their decades of activism and current efforts.
-
Keynote addresses from prominent New Mexico leaders and allies on local initiatives on activism, allyship, and diversity.
-
Educational workshops and social activities, including a Talent/No-Talent show and visits to some unique local institutions.
