Brian Kemp and Casey Cagle were in a race to best mimic Trump; they ran on hatred of “illegal” immigrants and a love of guns. Cagle lost in a landslide.
Kemp is a master of voter suppression. He has instigated voter purges and ignored voter machine hacking warnings. Along with President Trump he has insisted there is extensive voter fraud, but a look* at the facts makes clear fraud is vanishingly rare, and does not happen on a scale even close to that necessary to “rig” an election.
A Kemp victory in November means that in a state that should be blue, there will be a Governor that vigorously employs disenfranchisement. Indeed this is in a state where population has increased but registered voters have decreased!
