The US House decided to strip funding for 9/11 health care program
The NYS city’s firefighter unions slammed a decision by the House to strip vital health care funds for 9/11 first responders from the federal budget after Elon Musk and Donald Trump nuked a stopgap spending plan, threatening a government shutdown.
Firemen were able to fall back on the notion that people wouldn’t forget 9/11.
After two failed votes by the GOP-led House of Representatives, Congress passed a stopgap bill to fund the government Friday, but it removed legislation that would have fully funded them through 2040, 9/11 advocates said.
The firefighter assumed that the incoming politicians and those returning were given a mandate to “Make America Great Again,”
The World Trade Center Health Program was created in 2011and was extended until 2090 as more people were sickened with 9/11 illnesses.

Republicans abandoned Wednesday a bipartisan plan to prevent a government shutdown after Musk took to his social media platform X demanding the bill fail, and Trump followed his lead. That led House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) to essentially rip up the deal days before a shutdown deadline.
This is not a Republican or Democratic problem. It makes sense these front line workers should be healed. However, as we have said before, Republicans and the incoming administration have signaled there policies in words, but this is action that hurts the people who voted for Trump or did not endorse him.
I just wonder if voters, in a hurry to oust the Democratic Party from office really think hard about the policies that can be enacted by extremists. We will continue to monitor these actions that are against the values of the NABWMT and those at the margins.
